Ah yes, before I forget, I visited Coffee Ritual on 30th December. KFChan, the coffee expert in Malaysia announced the year-end promotion by two coffee shop in Malaysia, Coffee Ritual & Espressamente Illy. Since Coffee Ritual is a lot cheaper, I decided to pay a visit and have a lunch there.
Look for what I have there
Mushroom & Turkey Crepe. Inside is a creamy mozzarella too! And you can pair it with combo, either Iced Honey or Soft drinks. I chose Iced Honey.
My co-working partner ordered Vegetable Pie & Peppermint latte
Tasty Vegetable Pie with pinapple inside, and stuff like potato if I’m not mistaken. Should be suitable for vegetarians, and green salads.
Here is the Peppermint Latte. Coffee Ritual keep their ‘signature pattern’ I presume. My previous Cappucino also topped with milk/latte art like that. It was smooth creamy blend and this is my first time tasted Peppermint. For me, Peppermint tastes like Wood’s cough syrup. Of course, Peppermint.
And because I visited during Coffee In Malaysia promotion by KFChan, for the free coffee I ordered Single Origin Coffee/ Colombian Special that brewed using Syphon Coffee Maker. Sounds expensive, but it’s only RM6. But what I love about Coffee Ritual is their fairly priced coffee. Their Cappucino only priced at RM6, and it was a nice cappucino. I didn’t have it for this, but during my first visit back around May, when I’m hunting location for Officekami.

Epic fail, I fail to take the picture of the coffee that I drank, Colombian Special. As usual I drank coffee without sugar. This Colombian Special have a little fruity taste that still enable you to drink it without sugar. If I need to add sugar, either to brew-coffee-of-the-day or cappucino, I defined that coffee a fail. But so far, from Coffee Ritual, none 😀
Then, since I record the video of the brewing process, their boss invited me to watch how they roast their Costa Rica beans. This is the first time I see how the bean was roasted. The machine cost a fortune. It’s an expensive hobby. But in next 10 years I want to have a cafe so need to pick up skills afterall. Anyway, here’s how the bean being roasted.
The roasting process was done outside the cafe, because of the noise. And the smells extremely good.
On my self note, the next turn I’m going to Coffee Ritual, I shall test their other origin plus their cappucino. Well my usual-coffee-benchmark are cappucino or Brew of the day.
