i went to Switch Sogo last three-for weeks. i bought a Capdase LCD Screen Protector to protect Eruda’s screen. There, the guy offer me to attach the screen protector for free. since i’m not good in doing delicate things, i leave it to professionals.

When he cleaning the screen, he said to me that the keyboard protector is washable. A bit surprise but it’s true. So yesterday, was a sunny day, and i wash my Capdase Keyboard Protector.

how to wash it?? i’m googling with the keyword “how to wash your keyboard protector” but there’s no result. so i decide to try and make my own guide.

so below are the picture-by-picture instruction.

this is the capdase keyboard protector. i’m not a smoker but i don’t want my sweat leave a residue on eruda.

as you can see, there’s a build-up of sweat. time to have some cleaning!

i use a dishwasher concentration. JIF. but anything that has a soap will works.. just don’t use bleach :p

add a water. plain water.

i start with letting the keyboard protector inside for 2 minutes.

then, rubbing it gently to remove the dirt and anything exist from the keyboard protector surface.

then, clean it with clean water. you may notice there was fish inside the blue container :p

finally, hang it to make it dry. but don’t hang it too long under the sunny day. i afraid the keyboard protector will … mengembang + luyut. hahah.

Hope this guide helps. Today, 9 September, i presume Steve Jobs will announce new thing that will make a hole inside Apple-lover’s wallets. let’s just wait till night, malaysia time.
