bukan lagi ura-ura. bukan lagi bantahan kosong yang dilaungkan. tetapi kerajaan telah mengambil tindakan dan juga menetapkan dasar dan peraturan bagi artis luar negara untuk membuat persembahan. jadinya konsert avril lavigne dibatalkan.
aku bukannye beli tiket pun. dengar lagu je tp concert not my type. kalo orkestra kat dewan filharmonik petronas tu ade terasa nak gi tapi takat ni, macam takde teman je hahaha.. sangap la kalo pergi sorang kan.

The Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry said it had decided not to permit Lavigne’s show because it was unsuitable to Malaysian culture and could not be held on Aug. 29, two days ahead of independence day.
“It is not timely. It’s not in the good spirit of our National Day. If we go ahead with the concert, it is contrary to what we are preparing for,” said Shukran Ibrahim, a senior official from the culture ministry’s department that vets all foreign artists.

The show’s promoter, Galaxy Group, can request a new date for the concert, which will be considered by the ministry, Shukran said. Galaxy officials couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.
Galaxy began advertising the Grammy-nominated rock singer’s concert this month even though it had yet to obtain a government permit, which is mandatory for all foreign music shows. It said Monday about half the concert tickets had been sold.

Malaysia requires all performers to wear clothes without obscene or drug-related images and be covered from the chest to the knees. They must also refrain from jumping, shouting, hugging and kissing on stage.
so mungkin lepas merdeka kot. bila jiwa anak-anak muda dah merdeka baru buat konsert.
personal opinion: duk rumah makan, minum, tidur, twittering lagi best.

has everyone neglected the fact of Ramadan being just around the corner?? would it be even practical to say the least in facing this holy month?? do ponder on this fact, especially to those so called ardent but \’Muslim\’ fans of hers ey.. peace out!

i thought dewan pemuda pas dah lama suruh kerajaan batalkan this concert sebab dekat dengan ramadhan? hmm. akhirnya dibatalkan juga atas sebab yang lain.

ainee - sebab yg dikemukakan ni lebih general. kalau kasi sebab bulan ramadhan, kemungkinan besar konsert tu akan tunda lepas bulan ramadhan, atau sebab penjualan tiket dah berlangsung ( kawan aku pun ade beli ) kemungkinan besar konsert dlm bulan ramadhan atau syawal. lagi haru. senang citer, kasik je alasan general sket.

batalkan konsert nih hanye akn mencetuskan kebencian org terhadap org islam….esp di kalangan masy cina kat msia ni….majority yang pegi konsert ni pun cina…last2 batal….kesiann…

ntahh - entahla. tapi. kalo nak diikutkan, diorang pun bebas berhibur. kita tak pernah nak tentang konsert artis artis derang. tapi dlm kes avril ni, muslim pun ada gak. so not very nice i cud say. apepun. sepatutnya pihak penganjur jangan menghebahkan sesuatu yg belum ade kata putus. tak gitu? patutnya bila konfem dapat. baru jual. tahun lepas Live n Loud tu takde masalah pun.. kot

WHy everytime making the concert, everyone have to stand and making a riot-like? Just a small places for people to sit down. If all people sit down peace n nicely and not making such a fuss, there\’s no more cases like wallet thief, sexual harassment, and fighting occurred, or at least it become lesser. The culture of the concert should be changed, that\’s why the concert is always looks negative. Just 2 cents of my thought
